About Us
John G Hogg Funeral Directors in Pallion is on Martin Terrace.
We can help to plan services for Catholics, Anglicans, Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and non-religious ceremonies and serve many different communities. We have close relationships with the African, Filipino and Indian communities.
We have a Spanish speaking funeral director, Stephen. Please get in contact with us if you require this language service.
The funeral home does not have free parking if you are arriving by car. There is free on the street parking in nearby streets. We are a 11 minute walk from Pallion Metro Station and a 15 minute walk from Millfield Metro Station. Our closest bus stop is Fordfield Road Bus Stop, with buses serving Seaham, Boldon, South Shields, Washington, Roker, Fulwell, Whitburn, Millfield, Silksworth, Grangetown, East Herrington, Ryhope, Ashbrooke, Pennywell, Southwick, Hylton and Cleadon.
Our funeral home is accessible for people in wheelchairs. We do have a disabled toilet. We are happy to arrange a home visit if you prefer.
We have three private chapels of rest to enable families to spend time with their loved ones.
We work with local charities, volunteering at their foodbank and help organise fundraising events. John still attends St Joseph’s Catholic Church every week where he has great friendships with the parishioners and priests, and he is also Lay and Eucharistic minister for the Catholic Church and a member of the SVP. John Hogg Snr, John Hogg Jnr and Claire Ward all grew up in the Ford Estate and Pallion area of Sunderland and still have strong roots within the area and our families are still living here too.

Our Pallion funeral home is open from Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Funeral home opening times may vary over bank holidays, but we are always available on the telephone 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
