John was so lovely to deal with at a very challenging time, and made us feel very confident that Dad would be well looked after. We had a direct cremation, but really appreciated being able to have Dad dressed in his own comfortable clothes and to be able to see him at the funeral home and leave some personal items to go with him on his final journey. Another member of staff even offered to build a plane model kit in his own time which was just such a lovely gesture. On the day of the cremation, we really appreciated the opportunity to follow Dad into the crematorium to say a final goodbye and this gave us some closure. We really feel like you went above and beyond and can't thank you enough for your fantastic service.

On Saturday 17th January 2026 our lives were shattered and our hearts broken when our loving and devoted Mam left us.

From that evening when the staff came to collect Mam and take her to be cared for and prepared, to the day of the funeral, the staff at John G Hogg were a massive support to us.

Through the consultations, Gemma was professional and empathetic to both me and my sister and nothing was a problem or a bother to her.

I have no doubt that Mam was in very safe and competent hands to be cared for and prepared for her final journey.

We cannot thank the team at John Hogg enough for the care, compassion, and professionalism they showed while arranging our mam’s funeral. During such a difficult and emotional time, Stuart guided us through every step with kindness, patience, and understanding.

Everything was handled with the utmost dignity and respect, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Stuart helped us create a beautiful service that truly honoured Mam’s life and the day went perfectly thanks to their calm and reassuring presence.
